Cup Night (Stevie)

Maschino – Walk in Beauty

Born 03/11/2015

Another chestnut solid colt. A good omen as he was born the night of the 2015 Melbourne Cup. Hence the name Stevie, named after the famous strapper Stevie Payne, brother to the first female jockey winner of the Melbourne Cup, Michelle Payne. Started racing as a two year old. Highlight  of the year made the  Karrakatta Plate for 2018. Winner of the Raconteur April 19′.

.(Penny)

Safeguard – Cool as Oh

Born 29/09/2018

Penny was purchased in 2020 Magic Millions sale. We have a group of new owners in her. They are keen to see her race but Bernie has told them she will be a late bloomer. Penny has had several campaign’s but has not had a trial yet

 Heaps of Moolah (Charlie)

He’s a Decoy – Fabulous Moolah

Born  21/9/2016

Charlie came to us  very scared and unapproachable. With time a lot of patience and  trusting Bernie he has developed into a race horse. Winning his maiden and placing in several other races.

Earnings $32,430.00

Carlton & Smokey are full brothers, Carlton is a chestnut with silver mane and tail. Born Blue has earned $109,250 from his maiden win at Bunbury on 14/4/16. At times he can’t seem to find his racing head when he does he will win some nice races for us. He has being a wonerful horse for us always putting in an effort.

 Sheza Chalmer (Maggie)

Vital Equine – Lady Chalmers

Born 26/10/17

Our friends Mark & Lyn  bred this horse and gave her to Bernie to train.  Maggie was a large horse and needed time to grow into herself. It was worth the wait as her first campaign two wins and two seconds out of four runs.  Her future looks promising.

Earnings $61,100

Little Shadow (Alice)

Oratorio – Lady Chalmers

Born 29/08/2009 Retired

Alice has earned $136,800 from her maiden win at Bunbury on 17/1/13. Alice seems to have a number of admirers I would say due to her size. A petit horse with a huge heart and willingness to race where you know she is always trying her best. Compared to horses she races against I am sure people have a laugh at her size, then are amazed at her speed to the finish line.

Infinite Beauty (Lizzie)

Maschino – Walk in Beauty

Born 22/09/2014 Retired

A lovely brown filly when born she was so forward with everything one of those foals you say has been here before. Lizzie has been broken in and had a campaign but we didn’t push her to go to trials. At the moment is out in the big paddock being a horse. When coming back into work next month will take her to trials and race if she is up to it. Bernie is not one to race horses at two but feel she will cope. $11,575 won in price money with her very short career. Lizzie in 2019 hopefully will be in foal.

Carney (Smokey)

Trade Fair – Mawu

Born 03/09/2010 Retired

Smokey has earned $87,750 from his maiden win at Pinjarra on 3/7/2014. Carney was a first city winner for connections who live in Kalgoorlie. He is a strong gelding with a few problems which we are working on. Let’s hope he stays injury free this campaign.
